Private by location
Mauritius is not read as a treatment address. A hilltop estate, ensuite rooms and limited guest numbers keep a stay contained and discreet.
About us
Les Mariannes is a licensed, physician-led centre for addiction recovery, mental health and structured wellbeing. The people matter. The place, and the way care is held here, come first.
The centre
The sanctuary sits on a secluded hilltop in Congomah, away from the coast road and the island’s tourist circuit. It is a licensed medical facility, not a spa with a doctor on call. Assessment, nursing and therapy are the reason the estate exists.
Guests come as individuals, and often with family involvement, from Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the region. English, French and Arabic are spoken on site. Stays are small by design, so care can stay one-to-one and out of public view.
Complementary therapies may sit inside a medical plan. They do not replace it. Length of stay is decided after consultation, not sold as a package.
Why this setting
Families choose Les Mariannes when they need licensed residential care without the visibility of a well-known rehab destination.
Mauritius is not read as a treatment address. A hilltop estate, ensuite rooms and limited guest numbers keep a stay contained and discreet.
Every programme is medically overseen. Detoxification, if needed, is clinically supervised. Complementary work is selected, not substituted for care.
Individual therapy and private rooms are the norm. Group work is used when it helps, not because a timetable requires it.
Founder
Dr Siddick is Clinical Director of Les Mariannes. Qualified in Dublin and trained in London, he has spent more than 40 years in medicine, working across conventional practice and selected integrative therapies including Ayurveda, acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine.
He designed the LARA programme as a way to hold medical assessment, psychological care and complementary support in one residential plan. He supervises treatment programmes, trains visiting clinicians, and remains directly involved in the care of guests.
His full biography, publications and clinical background are at drsiddick.com.
