Questions
Frequently asked
A first conversation is still the surest way to know whether a stay is appropriate. These answers are a starting point.
What treatments does Les Mariannes offer?
Physician-led residential care for addiction recovery, mental health, stress and burnout, and medically supervised detoxification or chronic health support. Complementary therapies such as yoga, nutrition, massage and acupuncture may sit inside a medical plan. They do not replace it.
What addictions do you treat?
Alcohol, other substances, including prescribed medicines used unsafely, and behavioural addictions. Whether residential care is the right next step is decided after a confidential clinical conversation, not from a website list.
Is Les Mariannes licensed?
Yes. Les Mariannes is a licensed medical facility under the Ministry of Health of Mauritius. Physicians, nurses and therapists work on site.
How do I start, and is it confidential?
Begin with a call, WhatsApp or the form on this page. Share as little or as much as you wish. Enquiries are private. Nothing is booked or priced before that conversation.
How long is a stay?
Length of stay is decided after assessment, according to medical and therapeutic need. It is not sold as a fixed package.
Can a family member be involved?
Yes, when it is appropriate. Family conversations and sessions can form part of the plan, including for relatives who are helping someone else take the first step.
What languages do you speak?
English, French and Arabic are spoken on site. Culturally adapted meals, including halal options, can be arranged on request.
Why Mauritius, and where is the centre?
The sanctuary sits on a hilltop in Congomah, inland from the tourist beachfront. Mauritius is stable, multilingual and straightforward to reach for many families in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. A stay here is not read as a public rehab destination.
Can complementary therapies be used alongside medication?
They may be included when they support the clinical plan. Existing prescriptions are reviewed by the medical team. Do not stop medicines because of a website.
