Mental Health & Emotional Wellbeing

Programme

Mental Health & Emotional Wellbeing

Anxiety, depression, trauma and related conditions, treated with careful clinical language and a personalised residential plan.

Residential mental health care at Les Mariannes is for people who need time, privacy and a clinical team in the same place. We commonly see anxiety, depression, trauma including PTSD, obsessive-compulsive difficulties, and related conditions.

Language on this site is deliberately careful. We do not claim to treat every psychiatric diagnosis, and we do not use mystical wording in place of assessment. Complementary therapies may support the plan. They do not replace psychiatry, medicine or psychotherapy where those are needed.

Who it may help

Situations we commonly see

Anxiety and panic

Persistent worry, panic or avoidance that has not settled with outpatient care alone.

Depression

Low mood, loss of function, or exhaustion that needs a contained residential setting.

Trauma

Post-traumatic symptoms, including sleep disturbance and hypervigilance, assessed by the clinical team.

OCD and related conditions

Obsessive-compulsive difficulties and neighbouring presentations, considered case by case.

Not sure if this is the right programme?

A confidential conversation with the clinical team is the safest way to find out. We will not pressure you to admit.

How we work

Main programme elements

Psychiatric and medical review

Medication, sleep, physical health and risk are reviewed on arrival.

Individual therapy

Psychological work is one-to-one by default, using approaches such as CBT where they fit.

Nursing

Day-to-day clinical support in a licensed environment, not a wellness hotel.

Restorative structure

Meals, movement and quiet time, so the nervous system is not asked to recover in chaos.

A possible rhythm

Sample week, not a rigid promise

Days are adapted after assessment. This is an illustration of how medical care, therapy and restorative time can sit together.

  • ArrivalWelcome, medical intake and rest. No packed timetable on day one.
  • Days 2–3Physician review, nursing support and the first therapy sessions.
  • Mid-stayIndividual therapy, selected complementary sessions, meals and quiet time.
  • Later daysPlan reviewed. Family contact or sessions if agreed. Aftercare sketched.
  • Before leavingDischarge discussion, medication plan if needed, and a realistic next step.

Stay

Length of stay and daily life

Stays for mental health and emotional wellbeing vary widely. Some people need a short period of structured rest and assessment. Others need several weeks of therapy. Duration is always subject to clinical assessment.

Guests stay in ensuite rooms. Meals are prepared on site and can be adapted. Therapy may take place in consulting rooms or, when it helps, more privately. Complementary therapies such as yoga, massage or acupuncture are offered as support within the clinical plan.

Questions

Frequently asked

Is this a psychiatric hospital?

It is a licensed medical rehabilitation facility with a residential, low-census setting. It is not an acute locked ward.

Can I keep taking my medication?

Existing prescriptions are reviewed by the medical team. Do not stop medicines because of a website.

Do you treat eating disorders?

Some related difficulties can be assessed. Suitability is decided clinically, not by a condition list on a page.
